All the following case studies have been selected to demonstrate the various concerns we find on a day to day bases. They will also highlight the continuous support we provide our customers and the variety of outcomes that with our guidance is achieved. Case Study No. 1 On the day of inspection the home looked fault free until the end, we sat down with the customer to advise that they needed to move out straight away due to broken/damaged roof trusses, after a engineer confirmed they were lucky ( the roof could of fell in) that we had found the fault along with over 250 other items the roof had to be stripped, the remedial works took over 3 weeks to complete and the customer given out of pocket expenses and an monetary inconvenient gesture of good will. Case Study No. 2 The customer has complained of high water useage for over 18 months to the developer, the customer service department advised that it was because they had 4 toilets, after inspection we had found that there was a faultly connection under the kicthen kick plinths, water was spirting out and straight down the large hole where the cold main came in, the developer reimbursed the water charges for the whole of the 18 months and rectified all of the remaining defects that we found. Case Study No. 3 The state of the brick work,internal walls and ceilings didnt need a 2m level to see the unlevelness, but the site manager needed glasses (that was confirmed after wards) this was one of the worst completed homes that we have inspected, the developer bought back the home and sold them another, only after we had inspected it first (of course). |
