We now offer to customers a complete snagging service which allows us to resolve the snags and bill the developer (after negotiations with them).

We can on request colour code the snagging items.

Business very good at start of the year, we are being asked by customers for different services. i.e:

Complete service from start to finish.

May 2008  Lastest Media Release of Non Compliance of Regulations

Annual Report from the UK’s Premier and Leading Building Snagging CompanySurvey Homes 2000 Ltd

 “The market place”

During the period of May 2007 and May 2008 the new building market place has grown, the government’s proposals for further; tens of thousands of new houses throughout the country in coming years will create a larger demand for quality control. You may be aware that each new home is covered by either the NHBC or Zurich Build Mark Cover & other such like companies for the first ten years whilst the developer covers the initial two years with resolution meetings should the developer not agree with the purchaser hosted by the Build Mark Cover companies.

Resolution meetings are now increasing as customers do not believe the developers remarks with regards to quality and tolerances, they are now wining the meetings with guidance from SH2000.

“250-350 Defects to 95% of New Houses”

Believe it! We have compiled reports throughout the UK during our eight years in business and can clarify that 95% of new houses should not have been issued with a Build Complete Certificates (developers) or Certificates of Mortgage Leaders (build mark companies).

Some typical and most common defects found are as follows;

(1) Torn/ripped roofing material
(2) Creaking floors walls/ceiling and stone work out of level
(3) Gutter down pipes not entering drains
(4) Water/plumbing leaks
(5) Poor fitting of doors/stairs
(6) Incorrect specifications
(7) Inspection chambers incorrectly fitted
(8) Scratched glazing
(9) Damaged roofing trusses

 “Why is it happening?”

Simple to answer; lack of control and supervision, the demand & greed of developers asking for year end completions too soon.

“Remember when buying a new home”!

“You’re a name until the monies have been transferred, then you’re a number” (statement from Peter S Appleby (managing director of SH2000)

January 2007: Survey Homes 2000 Ltd Takes Customer Satisfaction To A New High

Survey Homes 2000 Ltd are now branching out into “Remedial Works Supervision”. Managing Director Peter Appleby comments: "we help all our customers right up to the point where the developer makes good the concerns we’ve found. But who is to say they’ll carry out a good job, I mean if they can’t get it right the first time, what is to say they’ll do a good job second time around?"

He went on to say: "This is why we’ve started to supervise remedial works on request from the customer. This can then alleviate any fears the customer might have and also allow them to carry on with their day to day business and not have to worry about taking time off work to supervise works".

The company has grown throughout the years; new ideas come and go, innovations happen - some work, and some don’t. This year will prove to be more difficult than last as the market is flooded with new homes and little is being sold at present. The new home buyers report for second hand homes will be a good idea once implicated. Survey Homes 2000 Ltd was the first ever company to evolve scrutinising New Homes.
